Transportation to Montreal
Most airlines either fly into or have connectors to Trudeau International airport in Montreal. For information about the airport, please visit the Trudeau airport website at

Ground Transportation from airport
Hotel Shuttle: If you have chosen to stay at a hotel, many provide shuttle service from the airport to downtown Montreal. Please check with your hotel.

Public Transportation: the 747 bus leaves from the airport and will take you to to the Lionel-Groulx metro, which provides access to the orange and green lines. The Lionel-Groulx will be the first stop on the bus (about a 15-20 minute ride).

Ground Transportation in Montreal

Public transportation: participants may want to purchase a 3-day STM transit card. It costs $19 and give you unlimited travel for 3 days. There is a ticket machine in the airport (International arrivals) on the way to the bus stop for the 747 bus, which is at the extreme far end of the  arrivals. You can also buy the pass at any metro station and certain corner stores (called a dépanneur in Montreal).

Bixi bikes: you can also use the bike sharing systems, Bixi. You can purchase a one-day pass, one-way trip, or 10 One way package at any Biki pay station. There are Bixi stations throughout the central part of the island (see the map). There is a Bixi station directly outside the conference building (station Jean-Brillant/McKenna)


Limited housing for the conference is available at the ZUM Hotel on the campus of the Université de Montréal.  Participants are invited to make reservations at their earliest convenience, in order to guarantee a room.
